Gardner and Gluzman
Thursday 07 April 2016
Edvard Grieg Choir participates as soloists and choir in the premiere performance of Lera Auerbach: The infant minstrel and his peculiar menagerie, a symphonic fantasy for violin, choir and orchestra.
Vadim Gluzman is a true friend of Bergen, and it is a pleasure to have him back to premiere a new concert by the Russian-American composer and multi-artist Lera Auerbach.
Auerbach is considered one of the world's leading composers and is performed frequently. Auerbach and Gluzman are friends from their student days and have collaborated a number of times on new works. She has long wanted to write a work for Gluzman and is happy that the first performance will take place precisely in Bergen with Gardner as conductor.
