Together with countertenor William Purefoy, the gentlemen from the Edvard Grieg Choir perform motets taken from one of the very first English collections of church music, Cantiones Sacrae - by Thomas Tallis and William Byrd. Among other things, you will hear Lamentations of Jeremiah (Tallis), one of the Renaissance masterpieces for male voices.
